I-PHONE 4S SEP 30,2010

Iphone 4s is on sale on September 30, 2010. Foxconn, based in Taiwan and owned by Terry Gou, is only company producing iphone for Apple. It’s currently making 137,000 iphone 4s per day or one per 1.5 second or 50 million per year. Apple refuse to change the iphone 4s spec so to fix the metal frame problem that cause dropping antenna signal, Foxconn has to order 1000 low-output metal machine from Fanuc, a robotic company in Japan, with 20,000 USD each. Foxconn has 450,000 employees. Their average salary is 135USD/month. Employee has to work overtime and forced to sign overtime waiver which prevent them to earn more money in overtime hour. There were 10 suicide attempts, 7 result dead in the last 6 months at the Foxconn factory because of stress.
